Here's an example of the finished doll: https://www.adjoyn.com/news/meet-the-fabies-julie
Also required: Supplies to make your doll! A supply kit can be ordered with your registration for $45. If you do not purchase a kit, please bring:
One soft-body toy doll, at least 18" long, with clothes. "Soft body" meaning the hands, feet, and head are hard plastic but everything is fabric.
The best option is the "You & Me" 18-inch doll (find it at Toys R Us right now for the best deal!!) in white or black.
The "Lots to Cuddle" 20-inch doll is okay but personally the head is too big for my work and there's no internal "stem" to make the doll's head less floppy; the diversity of this doll is great though, available in white, asian, hispanic, and black.
5-6 pounds of fine weighted material. Such as aquarium gravel, rice, coarse sand, small beans, etc. Only one medium is required! The best sources are usually hardware stores, pet supply stores, and grocery stores.
Other small supplies will be provided.
Directions to this event can be found here. There is street parking available.
