All car seat safety checks at Adjoyn are performed by Amy Rainbow, a Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST) through the National Child Passenger Safety certifying body, Safe Kids Worldwide.
60 minutes generally covers up to 3 car seats in one car. If you have more seats or more cars, check our options for adding these on when you schedule. Feel free to send questions to amy@adjoyn.com!

Timeline of a Seat Check
A car seat safety check or installation can take about 35-60 minutes per car, sometimes more depending on the number of car seats and complexity of arrangement. Here's the general timeline of an inspection of one or two seats:
5 minutes: Intake. We'll quickly confirm information you provided when you scheduled the check, then the current installation of your car seat(s) will be reviewed, if applicable. Your Certified Technician may request your vehicle's owner's manual and your car seat(s)'s manual(s), so have those nearby.
10-15 minutes: Harnessing. You'll learn to use your car seat with your child to insure they are harnessed or belted in safely with every ride. If your baby hasn't yet arrived, we have a great selection of dolls available for stand-in!
15-30 minutes: Vehicle install. We'll make sure your seat is appropriate for your vehicle and is installed correctly. You will learn how to install your seat safety so it is secure every time it is moved. Any adults who will be installing the seat are welcome to observe and get hands-on with the final install.
5-10 minutes: Questions: You'll have the opportunity to learn more about your next steps in your car seat safety journey, and after your appointment you are welcome to consult with us anytime you have a car seat safety concern.
Always have available your vehicle's owner's manual AND the manual for each car seat being inspected. Don't have the manual? That's okay - just let Adjoyn know your seat's model information in the intake form at registration.
Always have the driver of the vehicle and the children who occupy the seats present at the appointment (yep, even for virtual appointments!). If the children cannot be present that's okay, but it helps to have them available for harnessing practice.
Always set aside about an hour and have your car seat questions ready!
