Welcome To

Amy Wraps Babies

Before I was a Professional Babywearing Educator, I was a blogger just trying to figure this whole "babywearing" thing out. It was quite the journey of reading articles, watching YouTube videos, taking classes, and diving into as much education on the art of baby wearing that I could get.

You can get the same education now (without putting in years of work!) by taking my course, Babywearing for Perinatal Professionals. This section of my site contains an archive of my old blog posts and resources from my original writings. I hope it helps you get started with your own babywearing journey!

In this image above, I'm wearing my newborn and toddler together (we call that "tandem") for the first time. I remember getting to the parking lot of the grocery store with my fresh baby and my very active toddler and wondering how the heck I was going to survive getting this store run done. Luckily, I had two wraps in the car and instinct just kind of took over. I had watched videos of how to do this carry but never attempted it "in the wild" (you can find a video of how to do it on the Tutorials page, it is "Ruck + Front Wrap Cross Carry").

As soon as I had finished tying off, this wave of relief and accomplishment consumed me. Suddenly, I felt like I could tackle anything. This is what I want for you. I want you to feel confident in your babywearing journey, whether you're a parent, doula, caregiver; whether you're just starting out or experienced; whether you're wearing one baby or two.

Babywearing changed how I parent, how I responded to my babies, and how I lived my life with them in tow. While this page is focused on babywearing with woven wraps, you can find a whole lot more babywearing resources from me on my Instagram (I no longer post but don't let that stop you from learning!).

Happy Babywearing!
